Why Choosing the Right Material Matters
Recently we were asked to mock up some can carriers using different materials, allowing the customer to then select a suitable option. We love working on packaging, so were up to the challenge.
The first option we put forward was 720 micron folding box board, close to the thickest of its type for strength, and can be litho printed as needed. The second was E-flute– a structurally robust material which we’d mount with litho printed silk stock.
After testing out both with their products, the customer went with the folding box board, impressed by its finish and as the less bulky option in comparison to the E-Flute.
In terms of functionality, the carriers have a crash-lock base so they pop open ready to use. This makes them more than capable of holding the tasty beverages housed inside. Thirsty, but enjoyable work.
